Our MSc in Accounting and Finance is a stimulating and varied course through which you will learn about the practical and strategic application of financial and management accounting information, business finance, as well as how corporations report on and engage with sustainability issues.
You’ll also be able to apply your learning to a variety of real-life business scenarios through case studies and MSc project.
This course is also a fantastic stepping stone towards becoming a qualified accountant. Our course is accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). This means you will benefit from exemptions, which will reduce the number of ACCA or CIMA professional exams that you’ll need to take to become a fully qualified accountant once in employment.

Typically, you may be exempt from taking a SELT such as IELTS, TOEFL etc if you have:
Studied at a highly recognised institution and completed your entire education in English medium.
Have a strong Class 12 English paper score (typically, 75-85% and above).
Have evidence of working in a multinational company where it is obvious that the daily language of communication is English.
You can apply for a Masters programme with an undergraduate degree from an overseas institution.
You should at least have a first class degree from an Indian university. The specific percentage requirement will vary depending on the course you are applying for at Aston and the Indian university which you have graduated from.
If you are applying for finance, engineering or science-based subjects, you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree.
You can apply for the MBA programme with an undergraduate degree, in any subject area, from an overseas institution and a minimum of three years post-graduation managerial work experience. You should have at least a first class degree from an Indian university.
These exemptions do not apply to Aston Medical School MBChB Programme.
To be accepted onto our programmes, you must be able to satisfy the University's English language requirements. The level required will depend on the programme you are applying for. We strive to make your application process as easy as possible, however in all cases we reserve the right to request an English language qualification and / or conduct an interview.
